ENTROPY OPENING
On September 12, 2020, ArtCN Gallery hosted the Entropy Exhibition. Anne Cecile Noique, owner of ARTCN GALLERY and curator of the exhibition, integrated the artwork of three artists in a beautiful flow under the theme Entropy. The curation, which is an artwork on its own, brought together the works of Michel Temman, Rachid Khimoune and me, Astrid Krehan. We have to say we were thrilled at the turnout and the interest in the art displayed. Both Michel Temman and I featured photographic works while Rachid Khimoune featured a beautiful sculpture installation.
Almost 250 people came to see the works displayed, the highest amount the gallery has seen at an opening. We were thrilled at the turnout and the interest in the art displayed. People made their way through the gallery happily chatting while drinking wine. Each showing a large amount of interest in all that surrounded them. While we were supposed to end the night at 8 pm people were enjoying themselves so much that the event went on far beyond the official time.
The work I displayed at Entropy was work I created during the COVID period. It is a response to the sudden changes and chaos that were happening around me. This new photographic series consisted of Disorder (4 pieces), Confusion (2 pieces) and Trapped (3 pieces). They represent the different stages and perspectives that were felt during the challenging and unknown times.
I would like to thank Anne Cecile from ARTCN Gallery for bringing us all together in this beautifully curated exhibition. It has been such an inspiring collaboration.
